I shot these pictures during Summer 2016, in London.
Canary Wharf, a district that hosts some of the tallest buildings in the United Kingdom.
I interrogated myself about the value of these skyscrapers, accessible to few; in contrast to the Underground station, accessible to everyone.
9 years later…
After almost 9 years, I am once again reflecting on the value of these pictures and what these meant to me.
I graduated in 2017, a year after this trip to London, and I moved immediately to the UK, where I am still living in Summer 2025. In 2016, I was attracted by these skyscrapers and after all this time I also worked for some of the biggest financial firms in this Country. These pictures set an important motivation inside of me, and I like to go back and watch these. That's why I included these in my portfolio.
